Manufacturing Warehouse, Whitby
Phase 1: This facility (formerly Lofthouse Brass) was a complex reconstruction and expansion of an existing manufacturing facility. Manufacturing operations had to be maintained while construction was ongoing.
After extensive renovations, the training centre was all that was left of the original building. Its separation from the main plant has created opportunities as a separate profit centre for Lofthouse Brass to conduct training for other clients.
Phase II: The press shop was under construction after the new machine shop had been completed. The old press was still in operation. The high roof line facilitates service raceways and high bay lighting. A new cafeteria was part of the addition of men’s and women’s locker rooms and washrooms in the main office complex.
High bay lighting and translucent panels allow natural light and a brighter work environment.
This project consisted of a Robertson pre-engineered building addition and conventional construction renovations.
